Ester Spiller

Ester Spiller was born in rural Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. She has always liked writing because the characters in stories tend to be a lot easier to understand than the characters in real life. In 2016 she moved to the United Kingdom with her husband, children and pets.

Ester published her first novel, Sexing the Crocodile, in 2021. Other short pieces have been published in several anthologies and some of her work is included in publications at God’s House Tower in Southampton. In 2023 she came 8th out of more than 5000 writers in the NYC Midnight 250-word micro fiction competition. Ester is currently teaching a creative writing course while doing her MA in Creative Practice.
