Sally Reiser Simon was born in a small town in New Jersey, where she would hop on her bike to go exploring. As an adult, she has landed in an even smaller town in upstate New York, one full of trees, mountains, and even bears. Not a bad place for a writer to hang her hat.
She spent the bulk of her adult life teaching students from ages six to twelve, mostly reading and writing. An active member of several community theater groups, Sally has stage managed, directed, and acted. She was also the drama coach at the middle school where she taught.
When not writing, she’s probably traveling (she has visited all seven continents) or stabbing her friends on the fencing strip.
Her short fiction and CNF has been published in various literary magazines. Before We Move On is Sally’s debut novel.
