Dr. Aidyl Gonzalez

Dr. Aidyl Gonzalez-Serricchio is a molecular geneticist, educator, author, and explorer with more than 30 years in science and STEM education. She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Developmental Biology from Caltech, where she is a Visiting Researcher.

Her curiosity has taken her from laboratories to caves, the Arctic, extreme environments, and zero gravity. Through *From Soil to the Stars*, she connects communities with citizen science and exploration. A Fellow of The Explorers Club and 2024 Explorers Club 50 honoree, she flew in zero gravity with Space for Humanity’s 2026 Zero-G cohort. She is the author of *Everyday Lab Math* and the bilingual children’s book *Gigi & Nema: Guardians of the Soil*. She is writing a memoir tracing her journey from the South Bronx to Caltech and beyond.
