Rob Ryder is a writer/director with extensive experience in action adventure, sports, comedy, and family drama. He has written screenplays at Disney, Paramount, Warner Brothers, and 21st Century Fox for the likes of directors John Hughes, William Friedkin and Ron Shelton. Ryder has also worked as a second unit director/sports specialist on many sports movies, TV shows, commercials, and video games. Ryder has been published in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Salon, ESPN and the college textbook, Reading Critically, Writing Well. His memoir, Hollywood Jock was published by Harper/Collins. Ryder went to Princeton where he played varsity basketball.
