Curtis Carr

Curtis D. Carr was born in 1960 in a house in Portsmouth, VA. He was number seven out of eleven offspring, four brothers and six sisters. The Heart After God’s Heart is his calling to minister life to the body of Christ. Through this first work God gives him insightful and relevant teachings for the body of Christ. Over the years he and his wife have been involved in the Praise and Worship ministry, Youth ministry, Children’s church, an Evangelistic ministry and over 40 years of music ministry. They have led cell and small groups, small bible studies of adult and college groups, and have mentored many individuals and couples in the faith. A house fellowship developed as the need for family and friends to gather, fellowship, and share the love of God over a simple meal. These fellowships would sometimes feed upwards of 50, men, women and children. Their young daughter exclaimed that ‘mom and dad are professional Christians’. He had Pastored a church for 5 years during this time. For the last 8 years he has been a member, Elder, and Worship Minister, of a church in Blacksburg, VA. He has been married for 39 years and has four children. He dedicates this book to them. His calling is to help the body of Christ to spiritual maturity.
