HFJ Ballard is a native of what was once rural Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English Literature, and now he mostly spends time with his son and his wife. His favorite thing is to sit under the willow tree on a cool summer morning, pushing his son in the swing, listening to the birds sing and the goats (who might have consumption) bleat, and writing inconsequential stories about important things. He believes that the most worthwhile experience needs no meaning other than the beauty of the moment.
