I was born and raised in New Jersy and attended Northern Michigan university for undergraduate school and Florida State university for graduate studies where i obtained an MS degree in criminology. I began a 28-year career in the United States Secret Service (USSS) as a special agent in NYC and fulfilled assignments in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Honolulu field offices, as well as in the Gerald Ford protective detail. While assigned to the Honolulu office I traveled extensively in Asia, conducting complex financial crime investigations and providing executive protection for high level US Govt. officials, including the president and vice president of the United States.
After retirement I worked as a corporate security manager for two Fortune 100 corporations. During my government and corporate service, i had little opportunity to tap into my humorous and creative side, the writing of my first novel "Shaloha Gems" is my initial foray into this new endeavor.
I live with my wife and son in Honolulu Hawaii, own a small coffee farm in Capt. Cook Hawaii, enjoy ocean and pool swimming, as well as outrigger canoe paddling, striving to stay one step ahead of skin cancer and tiger sharks.
