Elise Naramore

Elise Naramore is an educator, researcher, and director of ReimaginedSchools. Drawing on 35 years in the physics classroom, she developed the Learning Progression Model to help educators replace point accumulation and ranking with clear developmental pathways for student growth. She is the author of The Learning Progression Model: Transforming Assessment to Support Student Success and co-author of Going Gradeless: Shifting the Focus to Student Learning. Her work spans classroom implementation, professional learning, international school collaboration, and research on grading reform, care-centered assessment, and sustainable competency-based education. She is pursuing doctoral study in Teachers, Schools and Society at the University of Florida and works with educators and school communities seeking practical, equitable assessment systems that support every learner.
