Kat Lee

Kat is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. In her private practice, she facilitates embodied, trauma-centered drama therapy with folx recovering from traumatic life experiences. Kat also consults organizations seeking to become more trauma-responsive through her work at Greenleaf Integrative, including the National Democratic Institute in Ukraine and Côte d’Ivoire. She also consults on trauma-responsive education for the K-12 Horizons summer program at Sacred Heart University.

Kat has served as faculty at New York University and the Kint Institute, focusing on cultural awareness, intersectionality, and decolonization in creative arts therapy. She teaches trauma-centered psychotherapy for the trauma certificate program at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is the past Director of Secondary Education for Miss Kendra Programs through the Post Traumatic Stress Center in New Haven, CT.

Kat has been published in the Drama Therapy Review and in the book Hodermarsky (2024) where she reflects on the impact of trauma from World War II on the work of artist Daniel Hodermarsky. Kat earned her Master of Arts in Drama Therapy from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Oberlin College.
