With a background in Engineering, Khalil transitioned to the world of literature. His active participation in book clubs and literary groups has honed his reading, writing, and critique skills and added depth to his writing, making his work a compelling blend of knowledge and creativity.
Khalil, a retired Boeing Engineer, has found his true passion in writing Historical Fiction. His fondness for this genre has flourished, and he’s now a full-time novelist, pouring his heart and soul into his work.
His literary journey began with the publication of his first novel, “Rattling the Jewel in the Crown,” in the UK in June 2023. The overwhelming success of this debut has paved the way for his second novel, “The Storyteller of Kabul,” which is now ready for publication. The anticipation for his other books, “Kaiser’s Mission to Kabul,” “An Afghan Officer of the Third Reich,” and "Shiraz to Seattle, A Journey of 1095 Days to Freedom," which are currently under development, is palpable.
