James "Jeb" Wright

My name is Jeb Wright and I write books! My latest work is titled Kill the Leprechaun. No, it’s not a story about leprechauns. It’s a tale of life, created in a new universe by a guy that should not create universes—ever!

Like all of my writing, the true meaning isn’t found in the subject, like leprechauns in this case. The true meaning of my writing is found in the characters I create—and Kill the Leprechaun is chalked full of interesting, diverse, loveable, and despicable characters.

My characters, while I am writing about them, are real to me. I hope they became real to you as you read this book. I see them, feel them, get to know them, laugh with them, cry with them, and shout in anger with them. They are important to me. When I finish writing the story I grieve them leaving me, just like a best friend that takes a job across the country.

I hope you enjoy them. I hope you enjoy Kill the Leprechaun, or my other novel, Blast from the Past. I learned a lot writing them, and I think anyone that loves stories that are funny, tragic, whacky, silly, intense, bizarre yet relatable, will love them too.

Hmm…I suppose, since this is an about me page, I should close by lowering my walls and telling you a tad about the author of these books I mentioned above.

Here it goes:

I live in a small town in Kansas. I’ve been married 28 years to the same woman. I have wonderful kids and grandkids that are even more wonderful. Despite being old enough to have grown kids and grandkids, I am a perpetual teenager—but not a teenager in the modern day, but rather a teenager in 1984. I love cheeseburgers. I love classic rock music. I love writing stories. I love figuring out life and conquering the dysfunctions of my past. I love my family and I love me. One of the most gratifying things that can happen to me is having someone read and comment how much they enjoyed my book. I also get a kick out of when someone reads it and doesn’t like it. I guess I just like attention. Lastly, even though KTL is not so much about leprechauns, there in one in the story and, yes, he must be killed.
