JD O'Donnell and her husband, seeking solace in the foothills of Northern California, found comfort in the pine trees, flowing rivers, and alpine lakes. This was their refuge after a betrayal left them feeling hopeless and defeated. The beauty and tranquility of the natural surroundings began to soothe their souls as they navigated their grief. Three decades later, JD and her husband of 43 years live on property surrounded by the trees that gave them comfort and hope so long ago. After becoming grandparents, JD embarked on a quest to share her stories with her children and grandchildren. Each story she shared revealed unwavering faith, and with her family's encouragement, she began to share her personal experiences with others, highlighting her faith and her newfound curiosity about the stories of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The Power of a Sacred Pause recently received a first-place award from The BookFest for the Fall of 2024 books in the category of Spirituality, Meditation, and Prayer.
