Vyvyan Kinross

Vyvyan Kinross is an expert in government communications and a former UN Senior Adviser to the Palestinian Authority and consultant to the Government of Abu Dhabi. Also a former journalist, Vyvyan has worked across the Middle East since the late 1970s. He reported from Iraq during Saddam’s war against the Ayatollah’s revolutionary Iran and went on to help Afghanistan’s new Counter Narcotics Directorate develop a communications strategy as part of the UK’s capacity building programme there. Vyvyan was living and working in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi during the events of the Arab Spring in 2011. Vyvyan is author of 'Nazis on the Nile: The German Military Advisers in Egypt, 1949-1967 published in May 2023 by Nomad Publishing in London. He is the author of 'Information Warriors, the Battle for Hearts and Minds in the Middle East’ published by Gilgamesh Publishing in 2020 (ISBN 9781908531650) and is a graduate in Modern Arabic Studies from the University of Durham. Vyvyan is a member of the London based Executive Board of the Council for Arab British Understanding.
