Maytal Zchut

Maytal Zchut is a queer, first-generation Israeli American writer working across television, film and comics. She is known for her character-driven genre work, including the CW’s Stargirl.

In October 2024, Maytal made her comic debut with It Happened on Hyde Street: Devour for Ghost Machine, a creator owned company, which she co-founded along with many of the industry's leading writers and artists. Her most recent project, in collaboration with artist Leila Leiz, is horror mini-series Sisterhood: A Hyde Street Story (2025). Her work blends grounded emotional storytelling with high-concept genre, focusing on character, human psychology, and interpersonal relationships.
