Sree Jith, an Indian expatriate in Barcelona, Spain, broke new grounds by publishing an English fictional work.
The pioneer Indian writer without holding European citizenship or permanent residency in Spain, achieved a remarkable feat by publishing an English novel. Employed with Allianz Technology, Sree Jith lives in Barcelona, Spain and originally hails from Trivandrum, Kerala. He writes passionately in both Malayalam and English. He has written one novel - The fragments of a lost soul, 30+ novellas and 100 poems in both the languages combined.
As a child, he was a celebrated writer, winning numerous awards, including one from the Swami Vivekananda Award for the best Malayalam poem at the age of 17. His literary passion was later overshadowed by career responsibilities and family obligations. Starting with the Indian Navy to support his family, he transitioned into IT, working with Sutherland, Cognizant, and Standard Chartered Bank before joining Allianz. Currently he works as a Product Owner with Allianz.
In search of career growth, he moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2022. Despite his professional commitments, he continued writing and, in June 2024, achieved a historic milestone and thus became an inspiration for aspiring Indian authors across the seas and beyond India.
He writes literary fiction and poetry that bridges cultural landscapes, existential philosophy, and the emotional resonance of everyday life. The Fragments of a Lost Soul is his second book, following Epics of Hope
