Eric Stephen Mayer

After graduation from Amherst College and Stanford University, Eric taught English Literature courses at a Pennsylvania college. He also earned an MBA from Columbia University and held senior management positions with large retailers. A longtime sailor, he began Fast Paradise in 2001 while waiting out storm winds in a Chesapeake Bay anchorage, continuing his research and writing for the next twenty years. He lives with his wife Rochelle in Alexandria, Virginia.
