Derek Harlan

Derek Harlan is an American author, artist, musician, luthier, and software analyst. He was inspired to write children's books by his tuxedo cat, Mr. Pickles. Derek loves animals and knew Mr. Pickles was special from the minute his son Paris brought him home. In 2024, Derek released "Mr. Pickles Finds a Home", the first book in a series of books called "The Adventures of Mr. Pickles, Tuxedo Cat". In November of 2024, he released the second book in the series, "Mr. Pickles Gets Scared", with his partner Jackie Harlan. Look for more Mr. Pickles books to come soon!
