Troy Evans

In 1997 Troy Evans embarked on a personal journey, overcoming significant challenges in his quest to find purpose. This journey led him down a destructive path, resulting in teenage fatherhood, involvement in drugs and gangs, & ultimately experiencing homelessness. An encounter with Christ brought about a profound change in his life. Troy committed himself to personal growth, pursuing a career as an IT engineer and becoming a serial entrepreneur. Building on his experiences & newfound faith, he went on to establish & pastor four urban churches in Michigan, using his own experiences to empower &inspire others.

Troy's work has earned him recognition as a sought-after speaker, consultant, &influencer. He has been invited to share his story and insights on platforms such as the 700 Club, TEDx, Focus on the Family, Failure Lab, NPR, and the Exponential Leadership Conference. Additionally, Troy served as the Urban Church Planting Catalyst for the Wesleyan Church in the US and established an urban church planting network in the UK.

As an accomplished author, he has written the inspiring book "Edge of Redemption" & co-authored "COPO: An Adventure to Find Purpose." Currently, Troy is the Founder & CEO of Nitrogen Urban Network, who are to equipping pastors, leaders, & churches to do urban ministry. He resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, alongside his best friend & wife LaDawn.
