Cheryl Bailey, M.D. writes from her home in Saint Paul, MN where she lives with her husband, sons, mother, and two disgracefully behaved dogs. She's a retired gynecologic oncologist who relished her decades of caring for women with ovarian and endometrial cancer. She still giggles when a search for her debut novel is often preceded by an ad for "poise pads" as a little gynecologic humor. Bailey is on to her next novel with a new woman physician protagonist, and civics and music take all her free time. Her heaviest participation is with the League of Women Voters Saint Paul, the Mill City Singers choir led by J.D. and Fred Steele, the Minnesota JCC Symphony Orchestra, and Grand Symphonic Winds. "Poised" is her first novel, her short stories have been published in The Intima, a narrative medicine journal, and she has several essays submitted to various journals. She's also not above sending the occasional blistering letter to the editor.
