Ely Johanna Patnode's lifelong passion for learning through reading has profoundly shaped her journey. Raised in Colombia, Ely always dreamed of coming to the United States. Her dream came true, and she praises the Lord for orchestrating her life, allowing her to not only live in the USA but also serve children with special needs using her degree as a Speech-Language Pathologist. With a background in speech therapy, Ely has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of books and reading, working with children with learning disabilities in English, Spanish, and sign language.

Now residing in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Ely cherishes the opportunity to pass on her love for literature to her two young daughters, Catalina and Ariella. As a full-time mom, she uses her passion and knowledge to inspire her children, helping them discover the joy, wonder, and power of reading. Ely's journey from a young girl in Colombia to a devoted mother and accomplished professional in the United States is a testament to her faith, perseverance, and God's faithfulness.

Writing has always held a special place in Ely's heart. Ever since she was a young girl, she filled notebooks with stories, characters, and adventures inspired by her imagination. Throughout the years, she continued to write, creating countless stories that remained tucked away as dreams waiting for the right season. Today, Ely has drafts of many stories she hopes to share with the world; stories that inspire faith, courage, kindness, confidence, and a sense of wonder in young readers.

With Sheepy Deepie: Sheepy's Interactive Adventures, the first of those dreams became a reality. Inspired by her daughter's favorite stuffed animal, Ely finally embraced her calling as an author and began bringing the stories in her heart to life. She gives all glory to God for opening this door and looks forward to sharing many more adventures with families for years to come. Through her writing, Ely hopes to inspire children to dream big, embrace their uniqueness, and discover the incredible love God has for them. Her story is a reminder that with faith, perseverance, and God's guidance, dreams truly can become reality.
