Sana Malim

Sana Malim is a Canadian author, poet, and founder of Moonbloom Books. Her writing explores faith, identity, family, and the questions we carry throughout our lives.

Sana’s love of writing began early. At sixteen, she was recognized in a regional writing competition—an experience that affirmed what she had known since childhood: she wanted to become an author.

Today, she writes across genres, from thoughtful and playful children’s books to poetry and reflective writing for adults. Her children’s work is rooted in a desire to create stories in which Muslim children can see their faith, families, curiosity, and everyday lives reflected with warmth and authenticity.

Sana is the author of Pop! Pop! Pop!, the Little Muslims, Big Questions series, and Unshackled: Quotes, Poems, and Reflections on Genocide in Gaza. Her newest picture book, Stinky, Stinky, brings humour and heart to an everyday childhood fear.

Through Moonbloom Books, her independent Canadian publishing imprint, Sana hopes to create thoughtful, imaginative books that stay with readers long after the final page.

She lives in Ontario, Canada, with her family, where she continues to write stories for children and adults.
