I am a proud United States Navy veteran hailing from the vibrant city of Compton, California, having dedicated my life to service, family, and creative pursuits. Born and raised in the heart of Compton, my journey has been one of resilience, passion, and unwavering commitment to loved ones and community.
Following my military service I returned home to Compton where I married my high school sweetheart and love of my life, and for the past 32 years have been happily married with three beautiful children. Family is at the core of my being, and I take great pride in being a dedicated husband and father, always prioritizing quality time and sharing experiences with loved ones.
From a young age I displayed a talent for storytelling and a love for literature. My passion for writing blossomed during my elementary school years when I began crafting stories and books for children. Drawing inspiration from my own experiences and imagination, it was with enthusiasm and determination that I penned and self-published my first book, “That Potato Ain’t That Big”.
In addition to my literary pursuits, I have a deep love for fishing (thanks to my grandfather). I find solace and joy in the serenity of the open waters. As an avid storyteller I enjoy sharing tales of my fishing adventures with friends and family—weaving captivating narratives that bring my experiences to life.
My passion for sports and mentorship shines through with my dedication to coaching children in basketball and baseball. By instilling the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship in young athletes I play a vital role in shaping the next generation of athletes and community leaders.
For 24 years I have worked in the railroad industry where my strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to excellence have earned me the respect of my colleagues and supervisors as I provide for my family.
With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit fueled by passion—I will continue to write, fish, coach and inspire those around me. My legacy of love, creativity, and service will endure as I strive to exemplify the true essence of a devoted husband, father, veteran, storyteller, coach, and community leader.
