Gene Dark

I’m from Bucheside, Ictis, Britannia and live near Red Mount (just two thousand years after the characters of Unlife War and one thousand years after the characters of Paladin's Gamble!) and I was raised on Arthurian, Jewish, Norse and Greco-Roman mythology.

My love of fantasy began as a child, with Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms. My favourite CRPGs are Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and Dragon Age 1 and 2. I was an Army cadet, and my hobbies are reading, writing, gaming, TTRPGs, composing darkwave music, painting with charcoal and acrylics, chess, and boxing.

I have worked in a Biohazard Level 3 laboratory, was awarded a collective George Cross for services during the pandemic, been a Research Assistant at Knight Scientific, and I now work for the NHS.

I also publish the works of my father, George Major (1950 - 2025) which tell the story of the founding of America and the American War of Independence. Book 1 of his Generations trilogy, A Tangled Web, and Book 2, Breaking the Chains, are out now, and Book 3 (which he completed and entrusted to me just before he passed) will be published on the 17th November 2026.
