Rob D. van den Berg

As a writer, Rob has focused on his experiences during his career in international cooperation and research funding and evaluation management. These experiences are brought into focus through his theoretical and practical knowledge of many scientific disciplines and the sustainability problems of our times. His latest effort is his new book Evidence for Hope: The Emerging Sustainability Revolution, published on July 29 2024. He has co-edited 8 books on international development and transformational change and published more than 30 peer reviewed articles and chapters. Currently Rob is Visiting Professor at the Department for International Development of King’s College, London, as well as an Honorary Associate of the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton. His past positions include President of the International Development Evaluation Association IDEAS, Director of the Independent Evaluation Office of the GEF at the World Bank and Director of the Evaluation Department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
