Hello readers! I am Tim J Culbertson. An aspiring new author on the writing scene for the past two years and grateful having my four books available on Amazon. My first book, And the Oscar Goes To was published last year followed by Who Can Turn the World With Her Smile and the sequel to the first, And Then There Were Two The Oscar Saga Continues and most recently, my memoir Days of Plenty. I chose writing as a dream come true and labor of love after retiring early in March 2022 after a long career in restaurants and retail grocery. My Oscar books are fiction with a blend of facts and trivia spanning decades long of friendship, loss and heartbreak. My Mary Tyler Moore book was a tribute to one of my and America's cultural icons. Recently, I decided to write my own life story growing up in Southeast Missouri to adulthood facing everyday challenges from family love, loss, grief, heartbreak, and self discovery leading down the road less traveled turning into days of plenty. The title is based on a ballad sang by the talented beautiful Maureen McGovern in the Broadway musical, Little Women.
I am ever so thankful for this opportunity to share my writing with the world, it might not be your genre but it isn't for the fame and fortune, its the opportunity to making my dream come true of writing. If I see promise, there might be a few more in the offering as I have written Humble Beginnings, a novel about several families in St. Louis dealing with the tragedy of a mass shooting at the City Museum and Sons of the Heartland is about a group of childhood friends in Kentucky brought back home for reunion after many years saying goodbye to one of their beloved classmates hoping to be published early next year. Enjoy!
