Matt Holborn is a jazz violinist, composer and teacher based in London.
Hull-born and Scotland-raised, Matt has made London his home for over a decade while establishing himself
as a prominent figure in the UK jazz scene.
As a composer, he has worked with The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, Domenico Angarano, and Hull Jazz
Festival, among others. His compositions have also featured at events like the Spitalfields Music Festival.
Matt has showcased his talent at major venues and festivals including the Festival Django Reinhardt in
Fontainebleau, Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz Club, London Jazz Festival, and The Queen Elizabeth Hall.
He collaborates with the jazz education organization Tomorrow’s Warriors, runs The Jazz Violin Podcast, and
teaches aspiring jazz violinists through a unique online platform on Patreon.
