Patrick Darfler-Sweeney earned his doctorate in Education Leadership from Seton Hall University. From 2007 until his retirement in June 2016, Patrick Darfler-Sweeney was the Superintendent of Schools at the Hunter-Tannersville CSD in the Northern Catskill Mountains of New York. Hunter-Tannersville High School is a top high school in the USA (US News & Report, 2014 & 2015), and it is ranked regionally as a top science school. Patrick served 18 years as a classroom teacher and Athletics Coach and 22 years as an administrator, Principal, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, Special Education Director, and Superintendent. Professionally, he served on the NYSCOSS Commissioner's Advisory Council and legislative committees. Recently, Patrick has worked for the New York State Education Department as an Education Specialist and previously with the University of the State of New York Regents Research Fund as a Project Manager for the New York State Education Department and as a lead evaluator of classroom teachers and Professional Development programs. Patrick lives in Tannersville, NY, with his wife (and educator) Laurie and their daughter Molly.
