Heather Treseler

Heather Treseler is the author of Auguries & Divinations, winner of the 2025 Massachusetts Book Award in poetry. She is also the author of two chapbooks, Hard Bargain and Parturition. She has received a Pushcart Prize, the W.B. Yeats Prize, Narrative Magazine’s poetry prize, and the Editors’ Prize from The Missouri Review. Her poems appear in The American Scholar, Harvard Review, The Iowa Review, The Irish Times, PN Review, and Kenyon Review, among other journals, and her essays appear in LARB, Harvard Review, and in eight books about contemporary poetry. She earned a B.A. in Comparative Literature at Brown University and a Ph.D. in English at the University of Notre Dame, and her work has been supported by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Boston Athenaeum, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Treseler is professor of English at Worcester State University and a scholar at the Brandeis Women’s Studies Research Center.
