Maggie Cheung

Maggie Cheung (originally Lok Ha Cheung) describes herself as a nobody, but her love for cats has led her on an extraordinary journey. It all began with her voluntary work at the animal shelter, a moment that opened her eyes to the plight of homeless animals and the role humans play in creating such situations.

Driven by compassion, Maggie left behind a career in the financial sector and dedicated herself to cat rescues and grassroots movements advocating for the transition from animal entertainment to the establishment of animal sanctuaries.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Maggie has since made homes in Boston, USA, and currently resides on Jeju Island, South Korea, where she shares her home with twelve cats and countless foster cats and dogs.
