I was a doctor but always had a desire to write, and over the last few years I have turned that desire into a reality. I am equally happy writing fiction or non-fiction.

Since becoming a full-time writer, I have published a non-fiction book about climate change and eye disease and a more mainstream book about climate change and human health. A great passion of mine is walking (I recommend this to all authors, as it often helps solve a lot of problems - see Charles Dickens), and I have written a book about walking and exercise (Infinitely Better: Why Walking is the Best Exercise) which will be published in November 2026. I also have a dystopian novel that is scheduled to be published in 2027.

I have always loved Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' and read it each year. But I have always wondered, if Dickens were alive today, what in the modern world would the Spirits show Scrooge to make him a better man? So I have adapted the book and sent Scrooge to relive his epiphany in "A Christmas Carol For Today."

I have a medical thriller published in September called “Anti Rejection”. The idea came to me when I was listening to a lecture about organ transplantation.. Write about what you know has become somewhat of a cliché, but I think it is the most natural way of writing. We all – consciously or subconsciously – gather material throughout our working lives, and it is cathartic to convert these thoughts and memories into words.
