Debbie Newson is an author and motivational speaker, but it hasn't always been that way. Debbie qualified as a nurse in 1999 and had a successful nursing career. Faith has always played a role in her life - as a traumatised teenager she was welcomed to a church family who transformed her life. After failing every school exam there was, as well as being a nurse she went on to gain a BA in Theology, an MA in contextual Theology and a PG Dip in Biblical Studies. But her experiences of life, including a battle with PTSD after her childhood and subsequent struggles with infertility, meant her faith changed from a religious one, to a deep faith that did not need religion to prop it up. This is the essence of her first book, God: Naked at Last.
Debbie is currently writing her second book, Unexpected, about infertility. She is now working as a motivational speaker and has more books in the pipeline. She has a weekly blog where she aims to inspire and motivate people to be their best, and to achieve things they never would have believed they could do - things that will go on to change their lives.
