Derek Jory has been a writer since before he could spel. As a sports writer & reporter for two decades, Derek has covered the Olympics, Stanley Cup Final and the Super Bowl. The inspiration for The Perfect Stick, his first children's book, came from countless family camping adventures, always searching for the perfect stick. Derek lives in Lake Country, BC, Canada, with his wife Tasha and their two incredible children, Denver & Mabel.
