J.M. Barber is a poet and writer from Cambridgeshire. Her work explores what it means to be human, to love deeply, to grieve, to lose yourself, and to find your way back. At eighteen, she lost her speaking voice due to illness, and writing became the place where she could still be heard. Her words arrive quietly, but they carry strength, honesty, and heart.
Her debut poetry collection, We Are Human, is written for anyone who has ever felt unseen or out of place a reminder that even in silence, our stories matter.
From a young age she enjoyed writing although at times she found it hard due to being dyslexic. She enjoys creating characters and stories. J.M. Barber also enjoys reading psychological thrillers, romance and crime novels.
