John Yoder is retired from a career as a professor, dean and chief academic officer at universities in Africa and several American states. He has traveled widely as a consultant and lecturer in the United States and abroad. Since retirement his interests have shifted, among other things, to genealogical research and writing. He has a bachelors degree from Eastern Mennonite College (now University) and a masters and Ph.D. in Psychology and Eduucation from the University of Virginia. He and his wife now live in a retirement community in a suburb of Baltimore, MD. They have two sons and a daughter and four grandchildren.
