David Baldwin

David Baldwin, author, businessman and entrepreneur, was born and raised in Washington, D.C. Unsure of the type of career he should pursue, Baldwin knew one truth – he was a talented writer with a burning passion to create compelling stories.

Baldwin wrote his first novel in 2005, titled, Underground Chronicles: The Payment. The novel was warmly received with many accolades from readers and reviewers, including a nomination for the 2005 Eric Hoffer Award, and an amazing 2006 five-star review from the John A. Cox with Midwest Book Review.

David Baldwin's commitment to educate, empower and entertain the literary community has been satisfied with his sophomore project, Poor Lyrics and Chants: Radiance from the Pit. This new project is a personal letter to the community and historical tool kit for rebuilding the mindset and value of the African Diaspora.

Baldwin possesses so much passion for his community, that his latest project inspired the inception of a Creative Writing Educational program, with an emphasis on the youth. The program was introduced to several community centers, libraries, schools and most recently, was taught to detained residents in a youth detention center. The program provides a blueprint for truth and understanding, creating a refreshed and engaging tour of self-discovery through the learning process. Those who have an appetite for historical learning and creative writing have been enlightened.
