Chad Scott, PhD, is an award-recognized and critically acclaimed author, psychotherapist, and educator with more than 25 years of experience in mental health. He has taught university-level psychology and criminal justice, published multiple books, and speaks widely on resilience, meaning, and human transformation.
Drawing from both clinical work and lived experience—including serious illness, organ transplant, divorce, and anxiety—Scott writes with hard-earned honesty and psychological depth. His work explores how people grow through adversity, confront discomfort, and find meaning in experiences shaped by struggle.
A reflective explorer and traveler, Scott’s writing often examines transformative encounters with history, suffering, and the human capacity for endurance—without sensationalism and with deep respect for the human story.
He lives in northern Minnesota, where he continues his clinical practice, writing, and speaking. He shares his life with his loyal Boston Terrier, Duke.
