Petr Nemirovskiy is Ukrainian American. He was born in 1963 in Kiev, Ukraine. He graduated from Kiev University with a degree in journalism and began his career as a journalist and writer.
Petr has lived in the United States since 1995. In the US, he received a master's degree in clinical social work and has been enjoying a rewarding career in psychotherapy for more than fifteen years. He also works as a professor at Fordham University.
During this time, he’s always maintained a passionate interest in creating literature. In his writing, Petr uses real events that he’s seen and participated in as backgrounds to create his artistic images and plot twists. The focus of his writing is the thorough exploration of different characters as they persevere through various crises. His writing is an ideal synthesis of different genres, including realistic fiction, romantic tension, and mystery.
He is the author of the novel A Walk Down Misery Street, which was published in 2022. With this novel, Petr shows his talents as both a writer and a professional clinician.
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic through its decline, Petr Nemirovskiy worked in the Emergency Department at a hospital in New York City. He transformed this experience into his new novel, Scream of the Falcon.
