Michael Rivera

Michael Rivera is a seasoned healthcare executive, educator and operational expert with over 18 years of experience in senior living and healthcare administration. He has demonstrated a strong capability in financial management, business development, staff recruitment and training, and change management across large-scale multi-state senior living and skilled nursing facilities.

Currently serving as the CEO and Strategy Officer of a Healthcare Digital Education Platform, Michael leads a premier continuing education provider that offers services for healthcare leaders and nurses in Florida. His responsibilities include overseeing budget, marketing, sales, IT, business development, change management, and growth initiatives, delivering services virtually, remotely, and onsite.

Previously, Michael was the Regional Vice President for a Senior Living Company where he managed financial operations across 5 states in diverse senior living communities. He led a high-performing team, reduced employee turnover, and increased revenue and occupancy rates. His expertise in regulatory compliance and quality assurance has been recognized throughout his career.

Michael’s extensive academic background includes a Doctorate of Education, a Master of Science in Health Care Administration, a Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He also holds a Florida Nursing Home Administrator License and a Healthcare Quality Assurance Certificate.

As an adjunct instructor at National Louis University, Michael has developed and taught courses in healthcare administration, focusing on strategic analysis, long-term care, finance, and quality of care. His commitment to education and professional development is evident in his role as a subject matter expert, having created multiple courses for the university’s long-term care program.

Michael’s military service spans 20 years, including roles in both the US Army and the US Coast Guard Reserve. As an E-6 Section Supervisor in the Coast Guard Reserve, he has honed his leadership and organizational skills. His military background has significantly contributed to his strong leadership capabilities and dedication to service.
