Dean Jacques

Dean Jacques was born in South Africa, but has lived in New Zealand for the past 30 years. He held senior leadership roles in the corporate world before retiring at the end of 2022. Dean has authored books on risk management and co-authored a number of articles on disaster risk and resilience. When his now-adult children were young, he would tell them bed-time stories about bears and foxes which they loved, always pleading for 'just one more'. Dean has had the same experience with his four grandchildren.

Says Dean 'I love bringing animal characters to life (anthropomorphism) and drawing out the imaginative thinking that young children have so much of'. I trust that my young readers or their parents and grandparents will enjoy this book which is the first in a series of bears and foxes stories.
