Gary Freund spent over three decades as a business teacher and administrator in high-performing high schools, but he noticed a recurring problem: students were graduating with high honors but zero "real-world" financial literacy.
Determined to bridge the gap between the classroom and the bank account, Gary dedicated his career to helping young adults navigate the high-stakes decisions of adulthood. He doesn’t just teach from a textbook—his advice is forged from years of "in-the-trenches" experience buying, rehabbing, and managing real estate, as well as owning and operating a wholesale business.
Today, Gary is a sought-after speaker at universities, libraries, and conferences, where he inspires audiences to stop "guessing" and start charting a clear financial course. He holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees and lives in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife and son.
When he isn’t writing or speaking, Gary loves traveling and spending time with his extended family. He remains a teacher at heart and welcomes feedback from readers and educators alike.
