Roberta Kaye Waldbaum, Ph.D., was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and has a home in the hills of Umbria, Italy. She is a passionate Italophile and a professor of Italian language, literature, film, and culture at the University of Denver where she holds the Anna Maglione-Sie Endowed Professorship in Italian Culture. The recipient of two university teaching awards at DU, her authored works include book chapters, translations, and journals. An Italian film advisor and consultant, she has served on a committee to select the Italian films at the Denver Film Festival’s annual Showcase on Italian Cinema. The Color of Dreams: An Umbrian Tale is her debut novel.
