Taylor Eberstadt

Taylor Eberstadt is an Australian primary school teacher and the author of Raising an Autistic Girl, Navigating School Life, and Raising an Autistic Teenage Girl.

Her work is centered on helping Autistic girls thrive and enlightening their parents on the importance of encouraging their daughters to be their complete, authentic selves. As an Autistic woman, she knows the harms that masking, forcing neurodivergent children to conform to neurotypical standards, can cause. Diagnosed at the age of 30, she also knows the obstacles that stand in the way of Autistic girls receiving a diagnosis late in life. For many years, she struggled with neurodiversity. Her diagnosis was the first step in her journey toward discovering all about the Autistic brain and the unique challenges and abilities it brings.

Through her work, she hopes to help Autistic girls tap into their strengths and immerse themselves in their special interests. She shares many of her own experiences and the stories of the many friends and children she has met and is part of a thriving community of Autistic girls, women, and families.

Taylor is a wife and mom of two daughters. She has taught and mentored many children during her career as a teacher.

Currently, she is a full-time author and mom, living in the sunny area of Brisbane, Australia. When not spending time with her kids or taking part in her own special interest, fitness, she immerses herself in research. Through her growing collection of books, Taylor continues to support Autistic girls throughout childhood and adolescence while helping parents better understand, encourage, and advocate for their daughters.
