Julie Averbach

Julie Averbach holds a B.A. in History of Art and Psychology summa cum laude from Yale University. She is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at Harvard Business School. The Art of Trader Joe’s draws on Averbach's award-winning thesis titled “Collecting Worlds: Trader Joe’s as a Contemporary Cabinet of Curiosities.” Averbach is the author of Adventures From My World, a comic book supporting siblings of people with disabilities. She is also the Founder & CEO of smARTee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides live virtual art museum tours for older adults to promote arts access, wellness, and lifelong learning. To date, Averbach has curated and led immersive art museum tours for 7,000+ people from 22 countries. As an arts innovator, Averbach has been featured in The Huffington Post, Yale Alumni Magazine, SiriusXM radio, & more.
