J H Emmison grew up in the North West of England and has long been an avid fan of psychological horror. Roaming bleak cemeteries as a teenager and watching age-inappropriate horror classics of the 1980's, she was raised on Catholicism, Stephen King and an imagination that kept her terrified of the darkness.

Now living in Spain with her family, a dog named Mr. Kipling and a snow-white cat named Winter, J H Emmison loves to spin tales of ordinary people confronted by the most wicked beings, human or otherwise. Her aim in life is to make it that bit harder for you to sleep with the lights off.
