Daniela Coats

With degrees in social work and Bible, Daniela Coats writes and teaches from a love of people and a love for studying Scripture. She is the founder of Unhidden Treasure Storytelling, LLC, a company dedicated to helping families discover the depth and beauty of God’s Word through the art of storytelling. She also founded With Siblings, an organization that serves foster and adoptive families with biological kids too.

Daniela’s first book, The Day Lily Turned (un)Invisible, reflected her social work background and her passion for supporting foster and adoptive families.

Daniela Coats grew up in a family devoted to following Jesus, where faith was the foundation for everyday life. That early love for God sparked a lifelong passion for exploring Scripture deeply - not just the well-known moments, but the rich, often-overlooked details that reveal more about God.

Her newest book, Our (un)Expected King, was born from her desire to share the story of Jesus’ birth with children in a fresh, thought-provoking way - helping children and families encounter God’s story with wonder, insight, and awe. Daniela lives in Texas with her husband and their children, and writes to inspire faith, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of who God really is.
