M.J. Boyle was born and raised in England. Then, providence had it that she would spend her adult life in Europe. As a permanent resident in Germany, the next trip to Great Britain was never far away and close ties to the home country were upheld, whatever.

Inevitably, Brexit played a decisive role in this development. However, feeling and seeing things as a Brit never waned, but were complemented by feeling and seeing things, ever-increasingly, as a European.

In M.J. Boyle`s books these - sometimes contrasting - views and attitudes prevail and lend themselves to stories with an emotional depth giving relatability and authenticity to the characters and leading to thought-provoking endings.

M.J. Boyle lives with her family amidst the famous vineyards of Baden-Wuerttemberg in the South of Germany.
