Acy Day

Acy Day is an American children's book author who lives in a small college town in north Alabama. She shares her home with her hubby, three dogs, three chickens, and way too many cats to count. When Acy isn't writing, she is elbow-deep in the dirt in her vegetable garden or reading children's books. She loves children's books!

Acy discovered her passion for children's books while working as a teacher in the Head Start program. It was a chilly autumn afternoon, and Acy read aloud to a group of 3-5-year-olds. Suddenly, one child yelled, "That's like me. I do that too!" The child connected to the story! At that moment, Acy realized how important storybooks are to the children listening. Since that day, her love for children's literature has grown. And now, Acy is a published children's book author.

Acy believes that young children deserve to hear amazing stories read aloud to them. She thinks that children should have books that bring a smile to their faces. That is why Acy writes books filled with vibrant characters and relatable stories that are fun and exciting for children and the adults reading to them.
