Norman Birnbach is an award-winning writer who has published over a hundred op-eds, short stories and articles. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, New York Magazine, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Militant Grammarian, Literary Garage, CrimeReads, and other publications.

"Stealing Time," a time travel and jewelry heist novel, is his debut novel and is also a Kindle bestseller, a Nevada Young Readers' Award 2026-27 nominee, a Killer Nashville 2025 Silver Falchion Finalist, a 2025 Silver Falchion Top Pick and a 2024 Claymore Top Pick. "Why Should I Trust You?" (Linden Tree Press, Sept. 30, 2025), a spooky middle-grade mystery about enemies-turned-allies, a century-old crime, and a demon cockroach, is his second book co-authored with Tilia Klebenov Jacobs.

A native New Yorker, he lives outside Boston with his wife, three children, and dog, Taxi.
