About Crystal Bright

Crystal Bright is an author, interior designer, and founder of Living Bright Interiors. Her work explores the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit, with a particular interest in neurodivergence, sensory experiences, and the often-overlooked demands of everyday life.

Her latest book, The Closed Loop Home, introduces an original approach to residential design built around one question: How much is your home asking of you?

Drawing from hundreds of design projects and her lived experience with ADHD and autism, Bright examines how ordinary environments can create unnecessary demands on memory, attention, energy, and sensory capacity. Her work challenges conventional ideas about organization, room functions, and what a well-designed home should look like.

At the center of the book is The Closed Loop Code, a practical framework for identifying where everyday routines break down and designing support directly into the environment. From small adjustments to furniture, storage, and lighting to larger architectural decisions, her approach encourages homes that respond to real behavior, accommodate different capacities, and make everyday living easier.

Her philosophy is particularly relevant to neurodivergent individuals and families, while offering a broader perspective on human-centered design. She believes that a home should support the people living in it, including on their most difficult days.

Bright is also the creator of visual design publications, including Dreamscapes and Sit On It, through Living Bright Interiors. These works explore imaginative interiors, expressive furniture, and the creative possibilities of design.

Across her writing and visual work, she continues to explore how spaces can become more beautiful, personal, adaptable, and supportive of the lives unfolding within them.

A home can be beautiful and still be asking too much.
