Dave Hubinger

Dave Hubinger, PhD is a distinguished business executive, author, and leadership expert renowned for his extensive experience in leading large teams and coaching high-level executives and entrepreneurs. With a career spanning over 40 years including a notable 30-year tenure at Nestle, Hubinger held several high-level positions, most significantly serving as President of Nestlé USA Confections & Snacks, a multibillion-dollar division of the company. He co-founded TRIDIS Leadership Inc. a consulting company focused on developing world-class leaders and co-authored the book” Bullets, Basketballs, and Boardrooms.”

Dave hails from Frankenmuth Michigan. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ferris State University and his Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He furthered his academic achievements by earning a PhD in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego in 2022, enhancing his expertise in leadership and organizational development.Hubinger’s career began at General Motors Corporation in Saginaw Michigan. After graduate school, he joined Nestlé where his tenure was marked by significant achievements in various leadership roles both internationally and domestically. As President of Nestlé USA Confections & Snacks, he oversaw a major division of the company, leading the development of mega brands such as Toll House, Willy Wonka, Butterfinger and Crunch. After his tenure at Nestlé, Hubinger became President of Distribution Plus Inc., the primary distributor of specialty grocery items to The Kroger Company. In this role, he played a crucial part in expanding the company’s market reach and optimizing its distribution network.

In addition to his executive roles, Hubinger was a co-founder and board member of two biotech start-up companies Nanommune Inc. and MyImmunome Inc., both companies specialized in comprehensive profiling of human immunity. Hubinger’s career also encompasses notable contributions as a leadership coach and consultant. Leveraging his extensive experience and academic background, he has guided numerous startups and entrepreneurs, helping them enhance their leadership skills and achieve their business goals. In 2023 he co-founded TRIDIS Leadership Inc. with his partners Andrew Pence and Jim Brogan. Through TRIDIS and the book “Bullets, Basketballs and Boardrooms’’, co-authored by Hubinger, leadership lessons are triangulated from three disciplines of U.S. Navy Seals, Professional Sports, and Executive Business offering leaders enhanced strategies and tools for effective leadership. Dave is passionate about dogs, running, and history. He and his wife, Janine, to whom he has been married for 44 years, reside in Carlsbad, California. The couple has four children and five grandchildren.
